Summer Shakespeare’s parent company (GSC) is a nonprofit organization that exists to provide the Upstate of South Carolina and surrounding areas with family-friendly, high-quality, accessible productions of Shakespeare and other classic works of literature and thereby expand and enhance cultural opportunities in the area; and to share these works of literature with area young people through educational enrichment opportunities as a real-life complement to literature studies; and to provide young artists training/internships.
