Summer Shakespeare’s parent company (GSC) is a nonprofit organization that exists to provide the Upstate of South Carolina and surrounding areas with family friendly, high quality, accessible productions of Shakespeare and other classic works of literature and thereby expand and enhance cultural opportunities in the area; and to share these works of literature with area young people through educational enrichment opportunities as a real-life complement to literature studies; and to provide young artists training/internships.
